A.L.R.S. operating principle:

Systems will respond in a catamaran, ship or boat to :

  • excessive tilt to one side (loss of safe stability)
  • excessive tilt to the bow or stern (loss of safe stability)
  • too low a draft (sinking)
  • sudden high temperature spike (fire)
  • Manual triggering integrated with the I.S.M.A. system.

The system will trigger several elements of rescue
and emergency information at the time of response:

  • from the sides of the catamaran, ship and boat will be “thrown”
    a short distance from the vessel rescue pontoons or rafts, depending on
    the requirements of the shipping area
  • from the sides of the catamaran, ship and boat will be “thrown”
    lifebuoys will be “thrown”
  • from the sides of the catamaran, ship and boat
    a short distance from the vessel
  • the system will activate the light and sound siren
  • the system will notify the emergency number with a phone call giving
    the name of the ship, its GPS location and the type of emergency being alerted
  • The system will fire emergency light flares into the air
