In 2021, a new model of catamaran developed by the Holiday Boat Scientific and Research Center, which is also the first inland zero-emission tourist vessel fully powered by hydrogen, will sail on Polish waters.
Zero emissions
This is due to many years of work by our team of professionals, surpassing the impossible and technological innovations that can adapt any vessel to changing conditions, while ensuring low operating costs.
A modern floating catamaran without internal combustion engines is a huge technological achievement! At Holiday Boat, we currently use two eco-friendly types of propulsion:
● hydrogen propulsion,
● Quatro Energydrive
In addition, we are working on the development of a proprietary low-temperature hydrogen cell, which will not only form the propulsion basis of our catamarans (with the possibility of recharging the propulsion system from solar batteries or a Stage V-compliant generator), but the patented technology will also give the possibility of reselling it with installation to other entities and contribute to expanding the production of hydrogen buses, streetcars, and improve rail or truck transportation.
The hydrogen cell emits no emissions, is completely safe and very efficient.
We can install the innovative hydrogen propulsion system in all available models of our catamarans or adapt another one according to the customer’s wishes.
The hydrogen drive itself provides a long cruising time, but you want to extend it further – you can be tempted to recharge the drive and thus use the full potential of renewable energy sources. Solar panels are a great example of such a solution, although their performance depends on the power of the sun.
Therefore, the primary propulsion force of the catamaran is hydrogen, which affects not only us the work of the engine itself, but also allows for energy autonomy during the voyage: the energy surplus that is created in the cooperation of two sources of renewable energy is also able to power on-board devices or provide optimal lighting.
